Family Practice Center

Located at 5th & Browne Medical Center

The Family Practice Center is located in an area of Spokane predominated by health care facilities. It is within walking distance of both Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC) and Deaconess Medical Center (DMC). This ambulatory care center provides 26 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, a minor surgery room, a geriatric and counseling interview room, lab, business and administrative offices. Conference rooms are located within the facility to accommodate both large and small groups with telecommunication capabilities.

Support staff of Family Medicine Spokane is dedicated to the education of residents and the delivery of quality patient care. The organizational team is comprised of front office employees, medical records technicians, switchboard attendant, medical coders, data processor, accounts payable employees, and nurses.  Administrative management is provided by the Program Director, one assistant director, five family physician faculty, a behavioral scientist, office manager, financial manager, residency coordinator, and two administrative assistants.

A number of community and rural family physicians precept regularly in the family practice center. Additionally we provide within the center specialty clinics in Gynecology, Osteopathic Manipulation, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, Podiatry, Nutrition, and Orthopedics. Weekly Geriatric Assessment Clinics are precepted by one of our family physician faculty who have the ABFM Added Qualifications in Geriatrics.
