Colville is a friendly town where people work hard, support their schools and take a valued interest in their children. The Colville Youth Commission, a local commitee, was founded on the conviction that it would act as a voice for youth and, serving in that capacity, make recommendations to the city and implement programs to improve the quality of life for Colville area youth. Parents, together with business and professional leaders, are actively involved with school programs.

Recreation includes: a city park that flourishes with activity throughout the summer with youth and adult sport activities. A bowling alley, athletic club, recently upgraded 18-hole golf course and several team sport facilities are also available. The low cost of living, together with local educational, recreational and cultural opportunities provides residents with an excellent quality of life. It makes Colville a delightful place to work and raise a family. Colville has very low amounts of crime and pollution as well.
